Terms and Conditions
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to anyone who uses the Âmérrance website, reads the Âmérrance blog, subscribes to the free newsletter, or joins Âmérrance membership. By using the site or joining membership, you agree to these terms.
The free content
The Âmérrance blog, social channels, and free newsletter are provided for general interest and inspiration. You are welcome to read them and to share links to them. The content remains our copyright, and you may not copy, republish, or use it commercially, or feed it into any automated system, without our written permission. Nothing on them is personalised travel, legal, medical, or financial advice for your specific circumstances.
Membership
- Membership starts when you complete signup and payment. It continues and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- To cancel, you must give us written notice. Written notice includes an email to hello@amerrance.com or a cancellation request made through your member account.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period in which we receive your notice. You keep your access until then, and you are not charged for the following period.
- We will send a reminder email before each annual renewal.
- Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable, including for a part-used billing period, unless the law requires otherwise. If you cancel, you keep your access until the end of the period you have paid for. If we charge you by mistake, or charge you after we received your written notice to cancel, we will refund that charge in full. Nothing in this term limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
- Membership benefits, including pre-built itineraries, custom itineraries, direct travel questions, point hacks guidance, and airline deal sourcing, are provided on a reasonable-effort basis and do not guarantee a specific price, deal, or outcome.
Payment
- Fees are charged in advance through our payment processor at the price shown at signup, in AUD (Australian and New Zealand Customers) and USD (Rest of the world), including GST and any other applicable taxes.
- We will give you at least 30 days' written notice of any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
- If a payment fails, we may retry it, suspend your access until it is paid, or end your membership.
- You are responsible for any bank or currency conversion fees.
- If you dispute a valid charge with your bank before contacting us, we may suspend your membership while the dispute is resolved.
Travel agent, insurer, and airline referrals
Âmérrance may connect members with an accredited travel agent, an insurer, or an airline at the member's request. Any booking, policy, or ticket arranged through a referred third party is a separate contract between the member and that third party. Âmérrance is not a party to that contract and is not liable for the acts, omissions, pricing, or service quality of any referred third party. Âmérrance may receive a referral fee or commission from these third parties.
Travel safety and security content
Any safety, security, geopolitical, or legal information published by Âmérrance reflects the team's own reading of publicly available information at the time of writing. It is general information, it can change quickly, and it is not legal advice. It does not replace official government travel advisories, a qualified lawyer, or a licensed travel agent's advice for your specific trip. You are responsible for checking current official advice before travelling.
Competitions
Competitions such as the flights-with-a-surprise-upgrade giveaway are subject to separate rules published at the time of each competition, including eligibility, entry conditions, and prize details. Where these terms and a competition's specific rules conflict, the competition's specific rules apply.
Member-only content
Everything in the members area is provided to you alone, for your own personal, non-commercial use. This includes itineraries, country information, point hacks guidance, deal information, member emails, and the answers we give to your questions. It is protected by copyright and it is confidential.
You must not share, copy, forward, republish, post, sell, or otherwise make any of it available to anyone else, in whole or in part. You must not share your login. We may mark itineraries and other member content with your name or member number.
If we find that member content has been shared, we may suspend or end your membership immediately without a refund. We also reserve the right to take legal action, including to recover our losses and to seek a court order stopping further sharing.
Confidentiality
We treat the personal information and travel details you give us, including in custom itinerary requests and direct questions, as confidential. We handle them under our Privacy Policy and share them with a referred travel agent, insurer, or airline only as that policy describes.
Intellectual property
All content on the Âmérrance site and in Âmérrance communications, including text, images, and itineraries, belongs to Âmérrance or its licensors. Except as these terms allow, you may not reproduce or redistribute it without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Âmérrance is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the free content, or membership benefits, including decisions made based on travel, safety, or itinerary information we publish. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the site or membership after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
